Tree Transplanting and Aforestation Techniques for Arid Salt-Affected Soils. Expertise soil physico-chemical properties through soil sample collection and soil analysis. Expertise in planting tolerant species. Rain water harvesting technology, pit planting and double ridge mounds. Expertise in evaluating the ecological impacts of invasive alien plant species on local ecosystems, including soil health, plant diversity, and insect population. Expertise in predict the future spread of invasive species using species distribution models can be cultivated, which is valuable for conservation planning. Proficiency in various sampling techniques (e.g., quadrate and point count sampling) and plant biodiversity and insect diversity. Integrated pest management and biological control. Training to stakeholders and dissemination of management practices, which enhance skills in communication, education, and community engagement biodiversity conservation. Field Survey, Identifying Plant Species, Vegetative Study. And data collection, analysis, and documentation will foster skills in scientific writing and publication, as seen with the submission of research articles

  Research Highlights

1. The project, aims to assess the spatial extent of selected IAPS, analyze their ecological impacts, predict their future spread, explore their bio-prospecting potential, and develop management strategies
2. Research has covered more than 31 districts across Rajasthan and Gujarat, focusing on species such as Prosopis juliflora and Lantana camara. The project has included the first-time survey of several districts and localities.
3. The use of Methodology remote sensing, GIS, and statistical designs for data analysis has been highlighted, along with innovative methodologies like quadrate and point count sampling for assessing biodiversity.
4. Significant achievements include the collection of soil samples, documentation of biological control agents, and establishment of checklists for invasive species and associated fauna
5. The research documented various insect species associated with IAPS, including two seed bruchid species identified from Prosopis juliflora pods, and the impact of several insect pests.
6. Four research articles have been published in Hindi, focusing on Lantana camara and its management.
