Area Of Specialization:

Area of specialization is genetic improvement and clonal propagation of economically important plants through various Biotechnological approaches. Having expertise in various fields of biotechnology with more than thirty years of research experience. Worked in both National and International Research Laboratories . Published more than seventy five research papers in various Scientific Journals and read in scientific conferences. Twenty one Ph.D. thesis have been awarded under supervision and many more Ph.D. scholars are working for their Ph.D. programme. Recipient of Swedish National Fellowship & FAO Fellowship for higher studies. Presented research papers in number of International conferences/ symposia/ workshops. Developed Tissue culture protocols for number of bamboo species, eucalyptus, shisham, chirpine and medicinal plants of economic importance.
Future interests : Genetic Engineering and Proudction of Transgenic plants.
